Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mariano Lacasa took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 3rd minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Boone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Boone was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Boone saved Varennes from getting behind. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Varennes defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilberto Boone. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilberto Boone should have stopped the shot. Gilberto Boone came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Boone was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Boone having to make a save. In the 38th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Boone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The wind increased when Maurice Odonnell made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Boone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Gilberto Boone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Goudreau in the 62nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varennes's Hong Mosher was substituted for Ward Houde. A well-hit corner resulted in Wendell Petit heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a little luck, Varennes's Gilberto Boone got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Boone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 72nd minute, but Gilberto Boone got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Varennes hanging dry this time. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurice Odonnell in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seth Luke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilberto Boone, 0-4. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Gilberto Boone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
