ALAMBRE de PÚAS's Fausto Bide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Edelmiro Gilesindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Bide having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Bide was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Baltasar Felipillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltasar Felipillo ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Peru in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Peru made a kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Leonardo Peru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, ALAMBRE de PÚAS's Fausto Bide got control of the ball when Jaime Cazalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Peru in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. In the 58th minute Alberto Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when ALAMBRE de PÚAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Bonadona didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fausto Bide showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jaime Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Fausto Bide made a huge save. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's Fausto Bide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save ALAMBRE de PÚAS from getting a goal against them. Nicolas Perutxo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Fausto Bide made a huge save.
