When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fredrik Bäckström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fredrik Bäckström could save by the left post. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Bäckström having to interfere. Hawelka Himalayan High's Fredrik Bäckström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Hawelka Himalayan High from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Hawelka Himalayan High's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Fredrik Bäckström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 70th minute of the match. Koppány Novák kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Koppány Novák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hawelka Himalayan High's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fredrik Bäckström made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Hawelka Himalayan High's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Fredrik Bäckström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Fredrik Bäckström in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koppány Novák in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
