A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Christian Sancho hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes, Honduras's Luca Espinar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abdallah Ali Maina came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Onyii, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Mike Sarun hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The supporters of Annscroft booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Cabal didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. Fred Rutto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Abdallah Ali Maina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 56th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Moises Tafalla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 73rd minute, Annscroft's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sebastian Villa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Fred Kariuki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Fred Kariuki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Onyii in the 87th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Onyii in the 89th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Onyii in the 96th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
