Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Brun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 played minutes Haganäsgränd TT got a freekick which was hit by Roland Karlsson. In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Brun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vilgot Lång fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haganäsgränd TT's protests and gave Vilgot Lång a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Haganäsgränd TT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Lång to maneuver through the defense. In the 36thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haganäsgränd TT's Ian Brun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute Haganäsgränd TT were awarded a corner. Frans Hjortsberg went to the cornerflag to take it. 40 minutes into the match, Haganäsgränd TT's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ian Brun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stig-Ove Ekström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Roland Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Haganäsgränd TT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Karlsson couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Nils Billing made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Haganäsgränd TT's Roland Karlsson made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Haganäsgränd TT's Ian Brun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Haganäsgränd TT from getting a goal against them. Ian Brun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute. After 72 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frans Hjortsberg who took care of the corner kick. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Ove Ekström hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Haganäsgränd TT were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
