Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Halil Utku Evvah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, KOO Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilmi Onursan to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lv Lei in the 19th minute of play. Halil Utku Evvah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lv Lei in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hilmi Onursan was slow to take the kick. During this time KOO Tigers's players had a chance to rest. The corner led KOO Tigers's Hilmi Onursan to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lv Lei got free with Julio Vera in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Halil Utku Evvah having to make a save. 42 minutes into the game, Lv Lei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Halil Utku Evvah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play forced KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Halil Utku Evvah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lv Lei, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 53 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when KOO Tigers's Lv Lei fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Halil Utku Evvah saved KOO Tigers from getting behind. 60 minutes into the game, Lv Lei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. KOO Tigers's Désiré Kaká was substituted for Meriç Baytekin. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lv Lei's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Lv Lei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lv Lei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when KOO Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ozan Candar didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to KOO Tigers getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Désiré Kaká hit a great ball. Lv Lei took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Lv Lei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.
