Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off. Sebastián Sosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximiliano Escribano's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 8thth minute of the game Sorin Manciu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Inter Sibiu were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Codrin Chihaia took the corner. FC Inter Sibiu's Ahmad Okhumeode í Lon Jacobsen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, FC Inter Sibiu's Sorin Manciu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Ahmad Okhumeode í Lon Jacobsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Carvallo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Carvallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Inter Sibiu's Sebastián Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 27th minute of play. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Manciu in the 28th minute of play. The throw-in from Pedro Chumo in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedro Chumo in the 33 minute of the game. Sorin Manciu might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sorin Manciu ran back to his position shaking his head. Sorin Manciu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Sorin Manciu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes FC Inter Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Gică Costandache. Sorin Manciu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Inter Sibiu. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Manciu in the 64th minute of the match. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Sosa having to interfere. With his leg Sebastián Sosa managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sorin Manciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes, Kevin Carballal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the FC Inter Sibiu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Carballal. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Codrin Chihaia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Codrin Chihaia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Bitang in the 89th minute of play. After 90 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Codrin Chihaia who took care of the corner kick. Codrin Chihaia made a great header on FC Inter Sibiu's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sebastián Sosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
