Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alin Dimofte kicked off to start the match. In the 8th match minute, FC Inter Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Mocanu to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horia Crăciunescu. FC Inter Sibiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cazimir Mocanu made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Marian Dancu immediately put the ball in play. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Horia Crăciunescu. 0-2. In the 21st minute, Marian Dancu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Alin Dimofte sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, FC Inter Sibiu's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Horia Crăciunescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horia Crăciunescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes in the game Cazimir Mocanu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marian Dancu. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. FC Inter Sibiu's Horia Crăciunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horia Crăciunescu, 0-3. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Dimofte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience held their breath when Patricio Costa in the 63rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Horia Crăciunescu's left hand side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Chimeț, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Dimofte in the 79th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Cazimir Mocanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alin Dimofte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela played a much better game than FC Inter Sibiu and deserved their victory. The FC Inter Sibiu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
