The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Jan Figlewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Figlewski having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Chiquinho Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Figlewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by 庄辉雄. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when 庄辉雄 made the kick off in the second half. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. In the 94th match minute, Abutres 2003 FDP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malin Karolev to maneuver through the defense. Abutres 2003 FDP's Jan Figlewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 96th minute of play. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Abutres 2003 FDP had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
