But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nurkan Bayar couldn't finish the play. İZMİR&GS's Gökçen Safa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of İZMİR&GS booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than İZMİR&GS throughout the match.
