After 19 played minutes Lidingö got a freekick which was hit by Osvald Bergfelt. Jan Dalgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartosz Erland in the 24th minute of play. Ovidiu Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Gallberg in the 27th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Poli Timisoara's Bartosz Erland slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Dalgren. That made the score 0-3 after 51 minutes of play. 57 minutes into the game, Mauro Primeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jan Dalgren. Mauro Primeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiger De Hond in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Dalgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gelu Cornoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Adrian having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Mauro Primeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Dalgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Gallberg in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidiu Adrian saved Poli Timisoara from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Lidingö's goal looked a bit too open when Bartosz Erland came free, but Jan Dalgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Çağdaş Yuvakuran came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Poli Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çağdaş Yuvakuran couldn't finish the play. Jan Dalgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiger De Hond, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jan Dalgren was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Horst-Peter Unterberger. Jan Dalgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Çağdaş Yuvakuran's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Bartosz Erland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartosz Erland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Dalgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91stth minute of the game Mauro Primeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lidingö's Jan Dalgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Henning Runberg's late challenge caught a Poli Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henning Runberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes, Poli Timisoara's Çağdaş Yuvakuran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan Dalgren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Poli Timisoara reached it.
