Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aquiles Urtsin started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Merengue FC's Aquiles Urtsin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. After 14 played minutes Merengue FC got a freekick which was hit by Darwin Núñez. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darwin Núñez got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. The supporters of Merengue FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Darwin Núñez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merengue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Darwin Núñez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aquiles Urtsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Quintyn made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Darwin Núñez however managed to control. Benjamim Mota's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamim Mota helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Merengue FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Benjamim Mota hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Urtsin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Mateo Llorienzo made a huge save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darwin Núñez in the 53rd minute of play. If Domingo Jago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Darwin Núñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Urtsin in the 63rd minute of play. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Llorienzo saved Merengue FC from getting behind. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darwin Núñez in the 72nd minute of play. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Aquiles Urtsin made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Darwin Núñez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Darwin Núñez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Merengue FC had played much better football throughout.
