The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 58thth minute of the game Sven-Erik Ekblom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Stellan Hansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ludvig Olofsson. Tomas Illescas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludvig Olofsson having to interfere.
