Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aquiles Urtsin started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darwin Núñez. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Bayan Gugovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Edelmiro Quintyn made in the 9th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ismael Frances. Aquiles Urtsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darwin Núñez scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Merengue FC's Edelmiro Quintyn got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquiles Urtsin's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Darwin Núñez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 after 25 minutes of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Edelmiro Quintyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Urtsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bayan Gugovski was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 71st minute Darwin Núñez suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Aquiles Urtsin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Aquiles Urtsin notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Merengue FC's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bayan Gugovski came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Edelmiro Quintyn was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Merengue FC had played much better football throughout.
