Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emanuel Mel got the match started through his kick off. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Aquiles Castulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquiles Castulo saved MOEBIO from getting behind. Inocencio Errolan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Emanuel Mel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. In the 15th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Aquiles Castulo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Camilo Gaos made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tomas Illescas. 27 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of MOEBIO's Aquiles Castulo. Aquiles Castulo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MOEBIO's Inocencio Errolan. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Castulo having to interfere. Aquiles Castulo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a MOEBIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Chicote helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. After the first half Venezuela were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aquiles Castulo came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 55th minute. In the 59th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute Flavio Eneas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes in the game Guillermo Mariano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Aquiles Castulo made a huge save. Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Aquiles Castulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Correa, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 88 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goalkeeper Aquiles Castulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. MOEBIO's Aquiles Castulo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 89th minute of play. Flavio Eneas struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MOEBIO. 94 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goalkeeper Aquiles Castulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas.
