Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Vila Nova FC's Luca Postelnicescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Mete Nared scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 1-0. In the 6th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Basso, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fiori Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Vila Nova FC's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Postelnicescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fiori Mota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luz Tejedor went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Cléber Pinho in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Peru's Luz Tejedor got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mete Nared. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Nova FC's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Mota came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Fiori Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. In the 58th minute, Cléber Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Milagros Fraga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fiori Mota. That made the score 1-2 in the 60 minute of play. Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Vila Nova FC's Cléber Basso made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Cléber Pinho in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fiori Mota read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Julian Murillo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 83rd minute Luca Postelnicescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Gallo scored 2-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fiori Mota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Fiori Mota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Mete Nared came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
