Galja Kraków's Teofil Oliszewski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nicodim Sasu in the 15 minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Zbyszek Pawelczyk notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál. Zsigmond Pál was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zbyszek Pawelczyk took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zsigmond Pál. Zsigmond Pál dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nicodim Sasu made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Iosif Gurlui. After some careless play in the F.C. Baia Mare -MM- defense, Zbyszek Pawelczyk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zsigmond Pál. The F.C. Baia Mare -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zsigmond Pál should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Nicodim Sasu got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Nicodim Sasu fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s protests and gave Nicodim Sasu a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Sasu. After 39 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Podgoreanu. Nicodim Sasu made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pavel Dordea however managed to control. Zsigmond Pál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Dyczkowski in the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Zbyszek Pawelczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galja Kraków's supporters rose to their feet, but Zbyszek Pawelczyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zsigmond Pál breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zbyszek Pawelczyk to make the kick off.
