The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Krisztián Sydbøge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Valentín Carvallo hit a great ball. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Róbert Vadas hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Nimród Vére was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Berasko to maneuver through the defense. Moises Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Krisztián Sydbøge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krisztián Sydbøge having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Krisztián Sydbøge saved Nimród Vére from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Krisztián Sydbøge. Nimród Vére's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krisztián Sydbøge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Krisztián Sydbøge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ede Edelényi missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 90 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Lautaro Navarro right hand side. 96 minutes into the match, Nimród Vére's goalkeeper Krisztián Sydbøge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. The Nimród Vére supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Honduras's performance. The match ended with a win for Honduras.
