An unexpectedly hard shot by Esterilla Van Meenen in the 8th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Brend Van Laeck came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the All Stars Gent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brend Van Laeck couldn't finish the play. Eser Şemsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th match minute, All Stars Gent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jannes Gramet to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Eser Şemsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Eser Şemsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eser Şemsi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brend Van Laeck in the 30th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when All Stars Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesucristo Van Meenen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Didier Beekman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All Stars Gent's Eser Şemsi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esterilla Van Meenen made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Van Laeck in the 51st minute of play. Eser Şemsi made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brend Van Laeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esterilla Van Meenen, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Van Laeck in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
