The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Fernanco was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 24th minute Expreso del oeste were awarded a corner. Jason Ghost went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Matias Sein heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play forced Expreso del oeste's goalkeeper Hernan Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of the match. Juliusz Hodyl made in the 34th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Honorio Mikeldi immediately put the ball in play. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Fernanco. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 43rd minute, Milagros Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Expreso del oeste's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Hernan Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Expreso del oeste players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Expreso del oeste's Hernan Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. Hernan Fernanco was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Lartaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Expreso del oeste's Hernan Fernanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hernan Fernanco made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Ghost came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Gallo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Hernan Fernanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Hernan Fernanco made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
