In the 11th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens Huybreghts saved BAŞBUĞ from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play forced BAŞBUĞ's goalkeeper Jens Huybreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Jens Huybreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of the match. Jens Huybreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sait Nursal in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Alonso Berganza threw the ball into play from the sideline. BAŞBUĞ's İlyas Tolga Kerimhan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sait Nursal's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. BAŞBUĞ's Jens Huybreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 33rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Julian Murillo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jens Huybreghts. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jens Huybreghts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arda Baybars Salik in the 70 minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Hernan Oroitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens Huybreghts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 83 minutes into the match, BAŞBUĞ's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jens Huybreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by BAŞBUĞ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eliseo Mina was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Enis Behiç Nizami's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 87th minute of the game.
