They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrice Gamet to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Isac Muntian took a quick shot and it went in 0-16 without a chance for Jean-Pascal Weiss to make any attempt to save it. Champions Iasi's Waldemar Gierlach was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Basarab Alexandru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jean-Pascal Weiss came out and tried to block the shot, but Basarab Alexandru slotted it home off the left post making it 0-18 in the 89th minute. With a little luck, gipsy kings's Jean-Pascal Weiss got control of the ball when Fabian Zăreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Waldemar Gierlach notched a goal, 0-19, to the right of gipsy kings's Jean-Pascal Weiss. Jean-Pascal Weiss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, gipsy kings's Jean-Pascal Weiss got control of the ball when Stefan Pieters tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Stefan Pieters put it in 0-20 from a short distance just to the right of Jean-Pascal Weiss. When the match was over Champions Iasi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than gipsy kings throughout the match.
