The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uğurcan Oğuzalp during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Fenerbahçe's Ahmet Hasan Erginer got control of the ball when Xulio Arvelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Navariega to strike the kick off in the second half.
