Sparta LKS's Stanislaw Gargasz got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rouven Nussli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislaw Gargasz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislaw Gargasz in the 8th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grzegorz Olszewski was a little too slow when Gheorghe Chifu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Marko Vooro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislaw Gargasz came free, but Rouven Nussli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Sparta LKS defense, Waldemar Gierlach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grzegorz Olszewski. The Sparta LKS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grzegorz Olszewski should have stopped the shot. Grzegorz Olszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Gierlach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Vooro came free, but Rouven Nussli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Sixten Bokelund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rouven Nussli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Sparta LKS's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Gierlach came free, but Grzegorz Olszewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Sparta LKS got a freekick which was hit by Gwidon Harasimowicz. Grzegorz Olszewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabian Zăreanu in the 39th minute. Champions Iasi's Waldemar Gierlach was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Kacper Hazard came free, but Rouven Nussli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldemar Gierlach was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sparta LKS's Lech Glozor seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lech Glozor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sparta LKS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lech Glozor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 52nd minute, one of Sparta LKS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sparta LKS. 54 minutes into the match, Stefan Pieters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grzegorz Olszewski. Sparta LKS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Pieters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Grzegorz Olszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Gierlach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tymoteusz Buczko scored 5-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rouven Nussli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Champions Iasi's Fabian Zăreanu in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sparta LKS's goalie prevented a goal. 64 minutes in the game, Stanislaw Gargasz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rouven Nussli having to interfere. Stanislaw Gargasz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rouven Nussli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Sparta LKS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gwidon Harasimowicz in the 66th minute. Sparta LKS's Gwidon Harasimowicz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rouven Nussli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Grzegorz Olszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Gierlach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grzegorz Olszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldemar Gierlach went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Sparta LKS made a substitution. Radowit Osielski replaced Stanislaw Gargasz. Grzegorz Olszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Gierlach in the 77th minute of the match. Grzegorz Olszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Crăciunaș in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Fabian Zăreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Olszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Champions Iasi's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radowit Osielski in the 87th minute of play. Rouven Nussli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Vooro in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Radowit Osielski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rouven Nussli was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Marko Vooro might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rouven Nussli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marko Vooro ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Champions Iasi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sparta LKS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
