In the 22ndth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Biene Maja 09's Burkhardt Teubler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Biene Maja 09 getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Horst Lantz hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Biene Maja 09's Erling Gustafsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Gustafsson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Gustafsson in the 60th minute of play. When Erling Gustafsson fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biene Maja 09's protests and gave Erling Gustafsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Erling Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Biene Maja 09's Burkhardt Teubler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Biene Maja 09 from getting a goal against them. Burkhardt Teubler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Hagedorn came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Biene Maja 09 had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
