Alexandru Bușcu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Barrett came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandru Bușcu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. In the 16th minute Curacao were awarded a corner. Kyle Davies went to the cornerflag to take it. Nae Timaru kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Troy Kennedy might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Davi de Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Troy Kennedy ran back to his position shaking his head. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Bușcu's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Curacao's Bruno Barrett got control of the ball when Aaron Llorian tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Steaua Nordului booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Cox didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corneliu Mironov. Francisc Zberea hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 39th play minutes Aaron Llorian shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Bruno Barrett and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 43rd minute, Kyle Davies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Alexandru Bușcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Alexandru Bușcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandru Bușcu to make the kick off. A collision led to Steaua Nordului getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Francisc Zberea hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Kyle Davies got a free kick in the 61st minute. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Steaua Nordului's Alexandru Bușcu. But to his dismay, Alexandru Bușcu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 68th minute, Aaron Llorian made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 72 minutes into the match, Steaua Nordului's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Wallace came free, but Davi de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Stanley Wallace could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Davi de Salles however easily saved by the left post. 75 minutes into the game, Steaua Nordului's Alexandru Bușcu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Bușcu in the 86th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
