With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Andrzej Zapolski tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lu Zhen Sheng saved DREAM TEAM WORLD from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lu Zhen Sheng came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 30 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Andrzej Zapolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrzej Zapolski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Andrzej Zapolski took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 61st match minute, DREAM TEAM WORLD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mendez Urquizu to maneuver through the defense. DREAM TEAM WORLD made a substitution. Koča Kafarov replaced Andrzej Zapolski. After 62 played minutes DREAM TEAM WORLD got a freekick which was hit by Mendez Urquizu. DREAM TEAM WORLD made a substitution. Paulo Jon replaced Elpidio Curcio. Lu Zhen Sheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 76th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koča Kafarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Koča Kafarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the match, DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Gallo. The DREAM TEAM WORLD support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
