Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eugen Săndoi charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugen Săndoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, RapidBarcelona's Eugen Săndoi got a free kick in the 5th minute. Eliseo Noboa took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narcis Lucan. Narcis Lucan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th match minute, RapidBarcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Remus to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. RapidBarcelona's Narcis Lucan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Remus got free with Benito Sanz in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Olimpiu Remus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-1. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when RapidBarcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Remus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Olimpiu Remus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RapidBarcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Remus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ivan Mumuleanu fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RapidBarcelona's protests and gave Ivan Mumuleanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes RapidBarcelona got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Mumuleanu. In the 34th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Lucan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Remus in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Lucan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narcis Lucan. RapidBarcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olimpiu Remus to strike the kick off in the second half. Narcis Lucan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Lucan having to interfere. Axel Tasis in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Narcis Lucan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Narcis Lucan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narcis Lucan made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olimpiu Remus in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 83rd match minute, RapidBarcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Terzian to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Costa Rica's Narcis Lucan threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Axel Tasis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The RapidBarcelona fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when RapidBarcelona's Olimpiu Remus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 93rd minute Olimpiu Remus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Remus, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
