Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Gaona took the kick off in the first half of the match. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Alberto Tafalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ma Yong Jun quite easily take care of the ball. Ma Yong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 16th minute of play. If Arvin Svanberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Arvin Svanberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. Bai Yan Feng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play forced Karen FC's goalkeeper Ma Yong Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

After 52 minutes, Einar Carlsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karen FC and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Einar Carlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Facundo Cadaval came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Facundo Cadaval couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Gaona got free with Ma Yong Jun in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvin Svanberg in the 57th minute of play. Ma Yong Jun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ma Yong Jun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 played minutes Karen FC got a freekick which was hit by Einar Carlsson. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Oskar Sandell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 92 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Karen FC's Ma Yong Jun. Ma Yong Jun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
