A sloppy throw-in by Oskari Etula in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 25th minute of the match Peru got a corner. SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Milagros Fraga managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Peru booed when SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskari Etula didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Oskari Etula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, SaarijärvenSomaliSpartans's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Taavetti Mattila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhang Chong Song, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Zhang Chong Song shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
