Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Ma Yong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Karen FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ma Yong Jun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute of the match Karen FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rickard Lövkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Karen FC's Rickard Lövkvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ma Yong Jun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bai Yan Feng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Sandell in the 28th minute of play. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Slawomir Majak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arvin Svanberg took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 57th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Ma Yong Jun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goalkeeper Ma Yong Jun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Slawomir Majak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Bai Yan Feng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bai Yan Feng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ma Yong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 72nd minute of play. Oskar Sandell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Karen FC's Ma Yong Jun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Karen FC from getting a goal against them. Oskar Sandell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Karen FC made a substitution. Bon Guidetti replaced Arvin Svanberg. After a rather tough play, Karen FC's Bai Yan Feng got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Bon Guidetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Karen FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ma Yong Jun. The Karen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ma Yong Jun should have stopped the shot.
