In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Habil Castolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Habil Castolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Zacharias Siatzis took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Vinicio Aires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 21st minute of the match. Vinicio Aires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Colombia booed when the xeneise dream team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Askelöf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Axel Montenegro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for the xeneise dream team.
