Cipriano Sustrai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Taavetti Vihervä in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Jorge Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Julian Murillo sped through Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorge Loyola. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Loyola. Jorge Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Jorge Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Jorge Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Sustrai got free with Rolando Noboa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jorge Loyola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Loyola. The Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Loyola should have stopped the shot. Jorge Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Vergílio came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Jorge Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 44th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hulk Zaracho in the 45th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hulk Zaracho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 47th minute of play forced Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goalkeeper Jorge Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Cipriano Sustrai made the kick off in the second half. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Téo Toledo was substituted for Cipriano Sustrai. FSCMZ's Hulk Zaracho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's goalkeeper Jorge Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66thth minute of the game Hulk Zaracho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 67th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Eliseo Mina heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Julian Murillo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Jorge Loyola skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 73rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Loyola made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 82nd minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Jorge Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Jorge Loyola in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Gallo in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Loyola saved Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ from getting behind. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
