Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Pelayo Vazquez scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Colegas del Barrio's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Los Colegas del Barrio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordarin Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Pelayo Vazquez struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Colegas del Barrio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Mason in the 55th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cordarin Silva fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Colegas del Barrio's protests and gave Cordarin Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Cordarin Silva hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Los Colegas del Barrio made a substitution. Bitxintxo Etxeberria replaced Olaf Iniesta. Los Colegas del Barrio made a substitution. Antonio Canal replaced Eutropio Harroyo. After a rather tough play, Los Colegas del Barrio's Cordarin Silva got a free kick in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Victor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garry Mason in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Garry Mason struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Colegas del Barrio. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Mason came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Victor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Antonio Canal took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bitxintxo Etxeberria during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Bitxintxo Etxeberria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Colegas del Barrio fully deserved thier win.
