After having played for 4 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Salvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Salvino in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play forced PLUMIN's goalkeeper Rodrigo Massó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Massó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rodrigo Massó tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Simon Ferrer could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cirilo Salvino in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Ferrer in the 46th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Massó having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cirilo Salvino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Delmiro Mel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Orlondon who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, PLUMIN's Silvano Orlan got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes in the game, Luis Andino fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rodrigo Massó having to interfere. After 79 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Orlondon who took care of the corner kick. In the 84thth minute of the game Simon Ferrer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Simon Ferrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, PLUMIN's Simon Ferrer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. PLUMIN succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
