Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villa Lourdes FC the free kick. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Fabio Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when Elvio Galeno from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 17 played minutes Villa Lourdes FC got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Remicio. With 20 minutes on the clock, Antonio Arias commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Rosendo Berto:s penalty. Paulino Valiente might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Valiente ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baltasar Remicio charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltasar Remicio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Villa Lourdes FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Baltasar Remicio hit a great ball. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Sancho was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Paulino Valiente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 64th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabio Lordi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Villa Lourdes FC's Elvio Galeno got a free kick in the 64th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Valiente, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Luis Andino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabio Lordi, passed just outside the right post. Villa Lourdes FC made a substitution. Dominic Pastor replaced Paulino Valiente. In the 78th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Fabio Lordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominic Pastor's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Dominic Pastor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Elvio Galeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dominic Pastor kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Villa Lourdes FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
