Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nedum Odunaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced FC GreenWhiteGreen's goalkeeper Nedum Odunaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC GreenWhiteGreen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. When Cristian Sancho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nedum Odunaro was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Nedum Odunaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 15th minute of the match. Abass Olododo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abass Olododo helped the player get up and apologised. Abass Olododo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Oddy Kamuche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC GreenWhiteGreen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC GreenWhiteGreen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oddy Kamuche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nedum Odunaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Anthimos Sofos scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anthimos Sofos. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nedum Odunaro having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nedum Odunaro. FC GreenWhiteGreen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto de Castro got free with Julio Vera in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anthimos Sofos made a kick off. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Nedum Odunaro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. FC GreenWhiteGreen's Nedum Odunaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC GreenWhiteGreen from getting a goal against them. Micheal Ransome-Kuti kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Nedum Odunaro came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthimos Sofos in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nedum Odunaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nedum Odunaro having to make a save. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nedum Odunaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
