The referee showed Herbert Luty the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Zbyszko Wojno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucjan Tyskie to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Tyskie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Bargiello booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Leszek Sochacki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Bargiello's Marcin Mochadlo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Radoslaw Raszkiewicz got a throw-in 70 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Leszek Sochacki. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmund Wawro went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Lucjan Tyskie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zbyszko Wojno. The goal made the score 6-1. Zbyszko Wojno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Zbyszko Wojno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bargiello.
