In the 3rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Rădvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC PIETROSUL -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niculae Rădvan should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Filip Braia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. In the 18th minute, Filip Braia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Nicolae Bosioc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. Filip Braia got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sever Crăiniceanu. In the 35th minute, Peru's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Viorel Iacobescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 37 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niculae Rădvan. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luz Tejedor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niculae Rădvan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Niculae Rădvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 46th minute of the match. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Ciprian Halipa was substituted for Aurel Teodoroiu. FC PIETROSUL -MM- made a substitution. Dan Burdujan replaced Filip Braia. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 54 played minutes FC PIETROSUL -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Odobescu. Niculae Rădvan made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Milagros Fraga sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FC PIETROSUL -MM- getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. After a rather tough play, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Dan Burdujan got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 64 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciprian Halipa in the 65th minute of play. Niculae Rădvan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 72nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Pintilie, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Eliseo Mina fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Eliseo Mina a yellow card for diving instead. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC PIETROSUL -MM-.
