Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Florentino Cedro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 6th minute, Cristian Nevares fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Julio Vera. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and SC Conceição's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Flávio Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of the match. Felix Montes charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Montes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. SC Conceição's Cristian Nevares got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joãozinho Amigo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. SC Conceição's Flávio Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, SC Conceição's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Flávio Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Flávio Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Florentino Cedro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Conceição's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Cedro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Flávio Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes SC Conceição's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Tao Xing's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tao Xing helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flávio Terra skillfully saved the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Nevares in the 37th minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Flávio Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play forced SC Conceição's goalkeeper Flávio Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a little luck, SC Conceição's Flávio Terra got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Flávio Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Florentino Cedro sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. In the 65th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Flávio Terra in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Nevares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When Álvaro Velloso fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Conceição's protests and gave Álvaro Velloso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SC Conceição was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes SC Conceição got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Velloso. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Cedro, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Florentino Cedro hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes SC Conceição got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Cedro. In the 94th minute Florentino Cedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Nevares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Conceição fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
