Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sergio Goycochea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 minutes El Torero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Chile's Pedro Indiano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sergio Goycochea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 7th minute of the match Chile got a corner. El Torero's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. 9 minutes into the match, El Torero's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Sergio Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match, Carlos Alberto Marquez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Eduardo Barrionuevo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the El Torero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Barrionuevo couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, El Torero's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Sergio Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Eduardo Barrionuevo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sergio Goycochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Sergio Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the El Torero defense, Pedro Indiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Goycochea. The El Torero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Goycochea should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Goycochea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 36th minute Carlos Alberto Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match El Torero got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Egoitz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Egoitz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sergio Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 40th minute of play. El Torero's Sergio Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Barrionuevo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo Pozo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gerardo Pozo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Eduardo Barrionuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. After the first half Chile were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Barrionuevo to strike the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Barrionuevo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Rene Guifre kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sergio Goycochea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marek Pruss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. El Torero's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Segundo Acosta in the 78th minute. Ambrosio Urtsua was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. Rene Guifre hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Sergio Goycochea in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Sergio Goycochea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
