Felix Garrido hit a great ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Francis Birir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. George Weahs Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Birir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aggelos Telakos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, George Weahs Academy's Jonathan Omosh got a free kick in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aggelos Telakos saved George Weahs Academy from getting behind. In the 27th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aggelos Telakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aggelos Telakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes George Weahs Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. 31 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aggelos Telakos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Aggelos Telakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the match, George Weahs Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Aggelos Telakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Ngina Njoroge capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mwai Emilio Otieno in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mwai Emilio Otieno in the 58th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Aggelos Telakos made a huge save. Aggelos Telakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aggelos Telakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Xavier Figueroa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but George Weahs Academy's Aggelos Telakos did a great save. In the 80th minute, Xavier Figueroa made a precise shot to the right of Aggelos Telakos. George Weahs Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mwai Emilio Otieno in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Burgos in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aggelos Telakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Burgos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Franco Burgos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franco Burgos scored 4-4 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
