After 19 minutes of play, Atlético Argentino's Josemir Lujambio made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Ennu Krae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, USA's Sam Campbell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ennu Krae went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Jenson Smith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob May received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Denis Dolmos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sam Campbell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Denis Dolmos. That made the score 2-2 in the 94 minute of play. Atlético Argentino succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though USA had controlled the match.
