When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Dorival Sarmento took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. After 16 minutes, Dorival Sarmento made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Eduardo Dorado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorival Sarmento. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Dorado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Sarmento in the 35th minute of the match. Eduardo Dorado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Sarmento in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Hamunaptra's Omar Njoroge got a free kick in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eduardo Dorado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes FC Hamunaptra got a freekick which was hit by 肖南珂. After 79 played minutes Cristian Sancho rounded FC Hamunaptra's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. In the 82nd minute, Dorival Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hamunaptra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After having played for 86 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eduardo Dorado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Hamunaptra had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
