In the 15th minute Guido Lizer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. SIDI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 23rdth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SIDI's Inocencio Raulo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Arano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. SIDI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clodoveo Mogel in the 26th minute. The referee showed Damaso Mannie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, SIDI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Mannie to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, SIDI's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Inocencio Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Arano was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Raulo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guido Lizer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocencio Raulo made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Clodoveo Mogel hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, SIDI's goalkeeper Inocencio Raulo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Inocencio Raulo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 59 minute of play. Ernesto Seguinus hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. SIDI's Clodoveo Mogel got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Raulo having to interfere. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Inocencio Raulo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 80 minutes into the match, SIDI's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Inocencio Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Eliseo Arano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Eliseo Arano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Justo Ignado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SIDI's Ronald Lammens was substituted for Eliseo Arano. SIDI's Rafael Marquéz was substituted for Clodoveo Mogel. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Inocencio Raulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing SIDI to leave the ground with a draw.
