In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Toronto Marlies FC's Gerard Pique quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Cazalla, made in the 6th minute of the game. 7 minutes into the game, Gigel Bucur recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Gigel Bucur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Anfilogino Amicone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toronto Marlies FC's Anfilogino Amicone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Toronto Marlies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Anfilogino Amicone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 26th minute of play forced Toronto Marlies FC's goalkeeper Anfilogino Amicone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Toronto Marlies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Anfilogino Amicone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fatsali Bedirhan hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Anfilogino Amicone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 53rd minute of play. In the 61st minute, Gigel Bucur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Colombia booed when Toronto Marlies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatsali Bedirhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Toronto Marlies FC's Noel Hamlin was substituted for Fatsali Bedirhan. Toronto Marlies FC made a substitution. Josiah Ferland replaced Daniel Passarelli. Fatsali Bedirhan hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Anfilogino Amicone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Mastache in the 71st minute. Anfilogino Amicone had great luck who in the 73rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Ignacio Mastache from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Anfilogino Amicone made a huge save. Antonio Indiano made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Cazalla. 79 minutes into the match, Abram Secada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anfilogino Amicone. Toronto Marlies FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abram Secada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Anfilogino Amicone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Secada in the 82nd minute of the match. Toronto Marlies FC's Gaston Rader was substituted for Qin Xing Shu. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Antonio Indiano with Luis Cazalla as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tomas Ånger made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Léopold Thomas. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Toronto Marlies FC.
