Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Gonza in the 2nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Revheim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gard Bredesen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Revheim saved POPODARA F.C from getting behind. POPODARA F.C's Thomas Revheim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Gonza in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Revheim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Gard Bredesen took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. In the 26th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Revheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gard Bredesen in the 34th minute. Dimas Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. POPODARA F.C's Thomas Revheim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Gonza came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bendik Bekken. A collision led to POPODARA F.C getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dimas Amaro hit a great ball. After 48 minutes POPODARA F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of POPODARA F.C's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. POPODARA F.C's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. POPODARA F.C's Thomas Revheim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Bendik Bekken succeeded in the game's 59th minute to get real power on a long shot . Ecuador's Julio Vera hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-2! Ruperto Gonza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thomas Revheim made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Gard Bredesen might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gard Bredesen ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Gonza in the 75th minute of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. POPODARA F.C's Ådne Svensen was substituted for Bendik Bekken. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Gonza came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. POPODARA F.C made a substitution. Runar Melum replaced Andres Iniesta. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
