Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerjan Staarman in the 7th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, SV Wissenkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Bombarda to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SV Wissenkerke's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frits van Loo came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frits van Loo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Honduras booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurgen Koole didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gertjan Baars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Edmundo Espiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frits van Loo. SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mariano Bombarda hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Milagros Cabal charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milagros Cabal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean-Paul Schuiling made a kick off. Gerjan Staarman kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Sylvan Baggio hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Edmundo Espiga took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Frits van Loo to make any attempt to save it. 60 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Gerjan Staarman came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Paul Schuiling in the 62nd minute of the match. Jean-Paul Schuiling hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Gerjan Staarman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerjan Staarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Frits van Loo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. When Jean-Paul Schuiling came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SV Wissenkerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Paul Schuiling couldn't finish the play. After 81 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. When Jean-Paul Schuiling came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the SV Wissenkerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Paul Schuiling couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. Frits van Loo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edmundo Espiga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 92 minute of play. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SV Wissenkerke throughout the match.
