In the 10th minute of the match ALTAY MYTHS got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mümtazer Babaoğlu ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play forced ALTAY MYTHS's goalkeeper Cüneyt Baba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atak İzmirli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cüneyt Baba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in ALTAY MYTHS's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cüneyt Baba came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cüneyt Baba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, ALTAY MYTHS's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Cüneyt Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes ALTAY MYTHS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cüneyt Baba quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Çelikan Akkan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALTAY MYTHS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çelikan Akkan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ALTAY MYTHS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atak İzmirli didn't get a good kick on the ball. ALTAY MYTHS's Cüneyt Baba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 45th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after ALTAY MYTHS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Cristian Sancho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saffet Maksum stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erdi Demir went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Atak İzmirli kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cüneyt Baba skillfully saved the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Cüneyt Baba skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Cüneyt Baba in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Çelikan Akkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felix Montenegro made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that ALTAY MYTHS's Cüneyt Baba managed to reach the ball for a save. After 76th play minutes Felix Montenegro shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Cüneyt Baba and just under the crossbar into goal. After 79 played minutes ALTAY MYTHS got a freekick which was hit by Mesut Alpaslan. In the 80th match minute, ALTAY MYTHS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mesut Alpaslan to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Cüneyt Baba managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Ecuador's Felix Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 84th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that İbrahim Akın's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Saffet Maksum had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saffet Maksum was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
