After a rather tough play, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Rikard Sjögren got a free kick in the 6th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Gideon Kodu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Georg Giliusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Georg Giliusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georg Giliusson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Georg Giliusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georg Giliusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Georg Giliusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. Georg Giliusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gideon Kodu was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Ingemar Ahlkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georg Giliusson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Georg Giliusson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Georg Giliusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingemar Ahlkvist during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Quetzal Flyers Hammers got a freekick which was hit by Ingemar Ahlkvist. Daniel Zorita scored 0-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georg Giliusson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Gideon Kodu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Gideon Kodu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georg Giliusson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 78 minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georg Giliusson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Georg Giliusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gideon Kodu in the 87th minute of play. Krister Torstensson kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georg Giliusson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Georg Giliusson. That made the score 0-5 after 91 minutes of play. Rikard Sjögren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Georg Giliusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
